From Berlin with love – yesterday I drove to Berlin to see my sister and we bought a new computer for her. I achieved to convert her to a Mac-Person now *hihi*. Thus, we all sit with MacBooks and coffee mugs here in her bed and drool over blogs, ideas and pictures. And that's what I want to share with you today: Gardening and Flower tips from the WWW, three beautiful portfolios of three talented photographers AND my favourite picks from the new digital edition of Martha Stewart Living for iPad (May 2011).  Enjoy!

Aus Berlin mit vielen Grüßen! Gestern bin ich mal wieder in die Hauptstadt gefahren, um gemeinsam mit meiner Schwester einen neuen Computer für sie zu kaufen. Endlich hab ich es also geschafft und sie zu einem Mac-Käufer konvertiert *hihi*. Wir sitzen nun also gemeinsam mit den MacBooks und groooooßen Kaffees im Bett und sind begeistert von Blogs, Ideen und Bildern. Und ein paar möchte ich auch heute wieder mit euch teilen: Garten- und Blumentipps aus dem WWW, drei talentierte Fotograf(inn)en und meine Lieblingsseiten aus der neuen Martha Stewart Living iPad Edition (Mai 2011). Roses Easter Egg DIY & a Surprise!!

The week of roses has motivated me a lot to prepare a little tutorial for you. And with easter coming up I also got a nostalgia push – thus I sat down a whole evening and painted easter eggs! Almost traditionally. Why almost? Well, I bought plastic eggs from IDEE (Mea culpa!).
Advantages:

• I – the clumsy – can dump an egg and will not losemy labour!
• You can use brute force to make holes in the eggs ;)
• They are really light and don't weight down the branches

Die Woche der Rosen hat mich richtig motiviert auch mal wieder ein Tutorial vorzubereiten und mit dem bevorstehenden Osterfest bekam ich einen nostalgischen Schub, setzte mich einen ganzen Abend lang hin und malte - fast traditionell - Ostereier an. Warum nur fast? Ich hab diesmal doch wirklich Plastikeier von IDEE (20 Stück für 2,49€) gekauft (Asche auf mein Haupt ;).

Vorteile:

• Ich – das Baschel – kann sie runterhauen und die Arbeit war nicht umsonst
• Man kann mit roher Gewalt Löcher reinbohren (habe dafür ein Buchbinder-Stemmeisen genutzt)
• Sind sehr leicht und beschweren damit einen Ast nicht
• Ich kann sie zur Not verschicken! Warum dies so wichtig ist? HIER KLICKEN, um es herauszufinden!

Sometimes you fall in love with one special item. For me roses have been a major allurement in the last weeks why I want to feature this lovely flower this week. In combination to this month's colour I will try to feature as many PINK roses as possible ;)
There are a few lovely posts in store: one with shopping tipps, a little discussion about retro clothing with a beloved new skirt (of course with a roses pattern on it), an easter tutorial and many many pictures as inspiration (see the first ones after the jump!). Do you have a favourite kind of rose? Have you ever received a bunch of red roses for Valentines (I have not … but wouldn't mind ;))? Do you own any 'rose' items (tea cups, dress, scarve, …). I'd love to hear about it!

Manchmal verliebt man sich in ganz komische Dinge. Eine ungeheure Anziehungskraft auf mich haben in den letzten Wochen und Monaten ROSEN ausgeübt. Deshalb stelle ich diese (fast) neue Woche unter dieses Blumenthema. In Kombination mit der Farbe des Monats werde ich natürlich versuchen so viel wie möglich ROSA Rosen zu zeigen ;)
Und ich hab schon jede Menge rosige Posts geplant: ein paar Shopping-Tipps werden darunter sein, meine Meinung zur Retro-Kleidungs-Diskussion auf Suschna's Blog mit einem neuen Lieblingsrock (natürlich voller Rosen), einem Oster-Tutorial und vielen, vielen inspirierenden Bildern (die ersten gibts schon heute nach dem Page-Jump!).
Habt ihr eine Lieblingsrosenart? Habt ihr schon jemals einen Strauß Rosen bekommen – vielleicht zum Valentienstag (ich noch nicht … würde mich nicht beschweren falls es mal passiert ;))? Besitzt ihr auch irgendeinen Rosenliebling (Teetasse, Kleid, Schal, …). Ich würde zu gern Eure Meinungen hören!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. I actually forgot to tell you about something really exciting: my couch (yes, the white one you sometimes see peeking in the background ;)) was featured on designspongeonline.com in the "before&after" section. It also got lovely, lovely comments and I am really honoured by all the nice words! And … if you were one of the early readers of designspongeonline.com on 7th April – no, I am not married ;)! Ich hoffe, ihr alle verbringt gerade ein schönes Wochenende. Ich habe bisher völlig vergessen eine aufregende Neuigkeit mit euch zu teilen: mein Sofa (ja, das Weiße, welches manchmal im Hintergrund hinter einem voluminösen Rock hervorlugt ;)) ist auf designspongeonline.com in der 'before&after'-Sektion erschienen. Breakfast Picks

Again Sunday and you'll find a few of my favourites of this week. Today I want to focus on wonderful illustrations, as well as a few online shopping inspirations. And in between you'll find my three top picks from the new April issue of Harper's Bazaar which I found in my mailbox this week. The idea of a magazine review was done by my lovely sister Toni with German Vogue this week and I really liked the concept.

Auch am heutigen Sonntagmorgen gibt es wieder ein paar meiner Favoriten-Links dieser Woche. Diesmal liegt der Fokus auf wunderschönen Illustrationen, sowie Shopping-Seiten zum Geldverlieren! Dazwischen gibts außerdem meine drei Lieblingsseiten der neuen US-Harper's-Bazaar, die in dieser Woche in meinem Briefkasten landete. Die Idee mit der Magazine-Review hat diese Woche meine Lieblingsschwester Toni mit der deutschen Vogue umgesetzt und mir hat das Konzept total gut gefallen.
