Wallpaper December 2011

Perhaps you are a little bit like me and cannot see that old 600-post-wallpaper anymore! Such a long time (1 1/2 months!) no new Neu4bauer-wallpaper, unbelievable *haha*! Well, for December I was really disciplined and created your new embellishment of that desktop early, thus you can decorate your computer a day early this month!

The illustration comes from the Handicrafts magazine "Garn und Wolle" – I just love the vibrant colours and decided not to desaturate the picture since December is a darker and cozier month anyway! I hope you like it, I always love making these treats for you! Don't forget to head over to SISTER Magazine's Advent Calendar where the first door opens tomorrow!

Yours truly, Theresa!

Wallpaper September 2011

With the revival of the 60s my mom and I thought we'll share one of the illustrations from this era of vintage fashion magazines. In the last bit my mom has bought quite a bunch of magazines from this time, which is why we can now draw from an almost unlimited source ;). The patterns are wonderful and Toni and I both have fallen in love with 60s dresses!!

Hello everyone,

today's wallpaper was created by request from my mom and my sister. Whereas I am a total fan of 1950s illustrations, they both very much adore illustrations from earlier days. I hope you like this month's very different approach!

Have a lovely day! Yours, Theresa

iPad Wallpaper

Wallpaper June 2011

I hope you all had a lovely start in it and I want to sweeten up this month with a new wallpaper. The picture comes from "Berlins Modenblatt" from 1956. I just love all the details which are hidden in these illustrations. That's why I've chosen two different sets of views for the iPhone and iPad wallpaper this month!

Wallpaper April 2011 & Redesign

I am very proud and happy to have finalized the redesign of Neu4bauer which was in work for such a long time now. I didn't really feel like posting with the old design anymore and now I am full of ideas again for this month!

So what is new?

• the new header is supposed to show the real focus of this blog: vintage but also modern fashion, photography and handicrafts – please try to resize your browser and see what will happen with the header graphic :-)!
• distinct categories in the sidebar – I will try to dedicate each of my posts to one of this category in order for you to have a better feeling what the post will bring and to faciliate the blog search …

Wallpaper March 2011

This month you may thank my sister Toni who sat next to me when I looked through the new madames for march's wallpaper. I asked for her opinion and she just shouted out: can't you do like two or three?? Although I at first called her mad, I actually liked the idea and this month you can change your desktop background every 10 days!!!

Have a lot of fun!

Let's start yellow February!

ets do this by introducing the new wallpaper for February. While 'cleaning' my desktop and computer files I stumbled upon a very cute website called simpledesktops.com. I was very inspired and kind of liked the very clean and fresh look it gave my own desktop ;). One project I completed in the last weeks was a conception and design for a fictional 'tutorial-app' for iPad. In the progress of designing the whole thing, I also developped some icons for sewing, paper-crafting or knitting. Thus, you are in for a treat: you'll get to choose between two yellow wallpaper designs: the classic vintage fashion model as well as a modern vector symbol about crafting (scissors and glue bottle). So, this month both our wallpaper are very clean and unagitated. I hope you like that!

Secondly don't forget to check out the new Pinterest Board with yellow inspirations (the link in my sidebar is now active and leads you to it!). It will hopefully fill up in the course of this month!

Have a wonderful Friday.
Yours, Theresa

❅ Das erste Türchen ❅ The first little door ❅

Welcome to Neu4bauer Advent Calendar in 2010!!

After a break in 2009 we are back with a calendar full of surprises! Each day of December until Christmas Eve on 24th December you will be treated with a little 'something' – may be a link, an inspiration, a tutorial or anything else out of my treasure box!
Today it probably is a bit of a cheat, because I want to 'give' you the December wallpaper, which you would have probably gotten anyway :-). Please forgive my lazyness but I have to undergo two exams this week and time is limited. I hope you still enjoy the peek behind the first little door!
Yours, ♪ Theresa ♩

Hello!
Even in Copenhagen I do not forget you! I know, you need a new wallpaper ;-)! The week of knitting spree is closed with a wallpaper in knitting optics. You can choose between two different versions: one with a neutral green background and one with knitting pattern (from lovemae.com.au) and of course in different sizes! Have fun with it and a wonderful November.

Wallpaper Oktober 2010

Hello dear readers,
don't think I forgot to make the new wallpaper because of all this hassle and excitement with the street catwalk event! This time my mom showed me the cover of a "Fashion and handicraft"-magazine and we were both enthusiastic about her look and appearance. I hope a lot of you download the wallpaper and use it this month! My family has installed it already and approved ;-).
Have a good weekend. And for all those students among my readers who also begin on Monday with the new semester: enjoy those last hours of holiday weekend!

Hallo meine lieben Leser,

Wallpaper September 2010

Oh my word, you wouldn't believe how much time I spent searching the right "lady" for September 2010. The undertaking was complicated by a very different taste of my mom and me concerning the "faces" and "styles" of our old ladies. We got into quite a rough quarrel which my dad had to arbitrate *hehe*. After three very different shots I decided to go for a still summery feeling and a busier look for our wallpaper and blog header this September. I just have to do a different style sometimes, I apologize for the lack of a calendar on the 1024-version (just not enough space). For the 1920 x 1200-px-wallpaper you can choose between a version with calendar and one without. I hope you enjoy the last bits of sun and summer (23 days before autumn starts officially).
By the way, I desisted from putting my birthday in big red letters into the calendar because I realized it is NOT such an important event for the blogger world *hihi*.
With this a big hug to all of you! Yours, Theresa
