DressGarden {7} LAETITIA

After a long drought from beautiful Toni-dresses, I present you the seventh in a row of our Sunday photoshooting "DressGarden". Who has been flicking through ANY fashion related magazine in the last months, has to have seen the reviews and outbursts of joy in consideration of Marc Jacobs "Louis Vuitton" collection for fall 2010. Everyone seemed to be relieved and utterly convinced of the womanly shapes, skirts in Mad Men style and models full of flair and beauty. The most stunning piece (which instantly moved onto the list of key pieces for fall 2010) was the wide leather skirt.
Already over a month ago my mom and I spotted the perfectlight beige faked leather in our fabric store in Dresden. The pattern was developped with a lot of calculating and another trip to the store because we didn't have enough fabric (oh yes, pattern construction is a lot of math ;-)) and the leather turned into the original Louis-Vuitton skirt. Additionally Toni got the corsage with zipper front, which has not only been an eyecatcher in combination with the skirt, but also with boyfriend jeans!

How widely acknowledged this look has been, shows a glance into the editorials of the fashion magazines: Vogue, Elle or Harper's Bazaar – you could not leaf through any of these without noticing that skirt. That's why I only want to show my sisterly attempts of modeling but also a few shots out of German and American Fashion magazines! Enjoy and see you soon. Yours, Theresa



Nach einer langen Pause präsentiere ich heute das siebente Kleid in unserer Reihe "DressGarden" vom wundervoll sonnigen Sonntagsvormittagsshooting. Wer im letzten Monat eine Modezeitschrift aufschlug, dem sprangen die Bilder, Interviews und Kritiken zu Marc Jacob's Kollektion für Louis Vuitton Herbst 2010 entgegen. Jeder schien im Brustton der Überzeugung aufzuatmen angesichts der weiblichen Silhouetten, Röcke im Mad Men Stil und Models voller Flair & Schönheit. Das wohl auffallendste – sofort zum Key Piece der Saison erkorene – Stück war der weitschwingende Lederrock. Bereits vor mehr als einem Monat entdeckten meine Mutter und ich im Dresdner Stoffladen das perfekte hellbeige Kunstleder, aus welchem in Eigenkonstruktion und vielem Rechnen (jaja, Schnittkonstruktion ist vor allem Mathematik) der original Louis-Vuitton-Rock entstand. Dazu gabs für meine Schwester auch noch die Corsage mit Reißverschlussfront dazu, welche seither nicht nur in Kombination zum Rock, sondern auch zu Boyfriend Jeans jede Menge Blicke auf sich gezogen hat!

Wie groß die Begeisterung für diesen Look ist, zeigt ein Blick in die Editorials der Großen: Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar etc. – nirgendwo kam man umhin, den Rock zu bemerken.
