Another inspiration board of mine with a book of costume design through the history from my mom, many pictures of Mr. Darcy (well I LOVE Colin Firth and I liked him a tiny bit better than the "new one" and Pemberley ... it is funny I always like to read about those old English Castles like Pemberley or Manderley (the castle in "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier)! They tickle your fantasies about big ballroom dances, wonderful robes and dresses and being able to be stitching a devine embroidery for a whole morning! Oh and did anyone read this really funny (but silly book): "Me and Mr. Darcy" by Alexandra Potter - a good readable chick flick for cold evenings.
Eine neue Inspirationscollage über eine meiner allerliebsten Zeiten: Regency England. Das Buch unten rechts ist ein Kostümkundebuch meiner Mutter, dazu noch ein paar Bilder des besten Mr. Darcy (ist ja fast eine Bond-Diskussion ;-) Colin Firth und ... Pemberley. Es ist lustig, aber ich lese unheimlich gern über diese großen, englischen Schlösser mit Namen wie Pemberley oder Manderley (in Daphne du Mauriers "Rebecca"). Sie regen doch am besten die Fantasie an und man entschwindet automatisch zu großen Bällen, wunderbaren Kleidern und Tagesabläufe, die "Sticken" fest in das Vormittagsprogramm einplanen! Dazu noch ein "Buchtipp" - ein lesbarer Chick Flick für kalte Abende: "Ein Mann wie Mr. Darcy" von Alexandra Potter.
