Fashion Parcels & FREE Paper Dolls

Sometimes you see a trend on the runway and all the highstreet labels cannot wait to translate them into affordable buys. One of these trends were for sure the Dolce & Gabbana materials ☛ of lace, patterned cotton and tatting. Another one you may even be a little tired of already is colour blocking. Well, we are right into spring season which is why I can still wear all this without a guilty fashionista conscience ;).

Another thing which I am accustomed to in my family are so-called 'Fashion Parcels'. My mom sometimes sews dresses, skirts, blouses, ... and sends them via mail when we are not home for a long while. These parcels are always the very best to find in your mailbox!! Today I want to send the white conscious-cotton-shorts which I bought last week and found really handy for this summer to my sister Toni and because it would be boring by itself I created a little paper doll illustration, which you are FREE TO DOWNLOAD! The illustration was inspired by a vintage christmas ad from "My Plastic World and Life" ❤.
If you are firm with Adobe Illustrator, you are free to switch around colours or hairstyles – it is an open vector format. However all the styles, shirts and cardigans are actual high street finds!

Since today is the last day of orange May I thought I'd share my favourite find of the month: the orange cardigan with leather ellbow patches from ZARA. I wore it with the H&M shorts and a white blouse, as well as the leather ZARA bag. In addition I had found this pin from Casey (elegantmusings) on Pinterest and I just LOVE this 40s style headscarf. It is the perfect (really!) bad hair solution and super easy:

• Curl the hair in the front into nice little curls and pin them into position with a bobby pin
• Now loosely bring your back hair into an updo with hair pins
• Best to use a rather long headscarf, which you wrap around your head. The tie/knot should be in the front. It looks best if you weave the ends through the scarf before tying the knot.

Now I will wrap these shorts, print out the little doll illustration and send it off!!

Manchmal sieht man auf den Laufstegen einen Trend und man hat sich nur einmal umgeschaut, schon sieht mans in den Schaufenstern der eingängigen High-Street-Modelabels. Bei Dolce & Gabbana's ☛ Materialien über Spitze, weiße Baumwolle und Lochmusterstickereien war es nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis Zara & Co. diesen Trend aufgriffen. Ein weiteres Must-Do der Saison ist natürlich das Colour Blocking (ich WEIß!! Dem ist man schon fast (fast) überdrüssig)! Da wir uns aber ganz genau, mittendrin im Mittelpunkt der Saison befinden, kann man doch beide Trends ohne schlechtes Gewissen anziehen ;).

Eine andere schöne Sache, an die ich modeweise gewöhnt bin, sind sogenannt 'Modepäckchen'. Meine Mutter näht uns Schwestern also manchmal Röcke/Blusen/Kleider und versendet diese mit der Post. Das sind doch immer die schönsten Briefe im Briefkasten ;). Heute möchte ich ein solches Päckchen an meine Schwester versenden und zwar mit einer wunderbaren weißen Lochmusterhose, die ich bei H&M gesehen, gefunden, gekauft und für toll befunden habe. Da die Hose allein natürlich ein langweiliges Päckchen abgeben würde, hab ich heute in mühevoller KLeinarbeit eine Papier-Anziehpuppe nach dem Beispiel einer Vintage Weihnachtswerbung (hier: ❤) entworfen, die ihr GRATIS herunterladen könnt! Wer sich mit Illustrator auskennt, kann natürlich auch die Farben etc. ändern – ist eine offene Vektorgrafik!

Da heute der letzte Tag im orangenen Monat Mai ist will ich mein Lieblingsteil des Monats vorstellen: die orange Strickjacke von ZARA mit Leder-Ellbogenschonern. Ich hab sie mit den weißen H&M-Shorts und einer weißen Bluse an, dazu die ZARA-Ledertasche.

Dazu hab ich auf Pinterest ein wundervolles Bild bei Casey (Elegantmusings) gefunden und ich LIEBE diesen 40er-Jahre-Stil mit Haarband. Übrigens perfekt für einen Bad-Hair-Day und einfach zu machen: 

• Die vorderen Haare mit einem Glätteisen oder Lockenstab zu kleinen Locken curlen. Feststecken am Vorderkopf. 
• Nun alle hinteren Haare zu einem lockeren Dutt zusammenstecken. 
• Einen relativ langen Schal/langes Tuch geht am besten. Dieses doppelt um den Kopf schlingen und vorn verknoten. Je nach Geschmack die Enden herausschauen lassen oder unter das Tuch stecken. 

Und jetzt werd ich mal die Hose in einen großen Briefumschlag stecken, meine kleinen Puppen ausdrucken und alles auf seinen Weg schicken!
