In the last days and weeks one of my favourite topics – Typography – has not only been in my mind but also on the schedule of daily lectures, everywhere in the internet, as well as in front of our camera lens in Copenhagen. Tanja and I are just working on a presentation about typography matters on handheld/mobile devices. Thus, I am fighting my way through quite a few typo blogs, communities arguing over Apple's font choices and today we went to interview a professor from HGB Leipzig. I really like the topic, especially or better although it is quite hard to draw the line between reading typography and interface design or experimental typography. Another matter is, that there are almost no solutions out there – only questions! ;-) Do you ever read books on the iPad or any other eBook-Reader? Why or why not? What do you think of Apple's font choices? I would be really interested in your opinions!!! I would also love new information ressources or blogs about modern/digital typography, if you know any!

In den letzten Tagen und Wochen ist eines meiner Rein-Interesse-Themen – Typographie – nicht nur in meinen Gedanken, sondern sogar im Stundenplan, in täglichen Vorlesungen und überall auf Blogs, sowie vor der Kamera in Kopenhagen aufgetaucht. Tanja und ich sind mitten in der Recherche zu einem Vortrag, der sich mit Typographie auf mobilen Endgeräten. Also kämpfe ich mich derzeit durch allerlei Typoblogs; Foren, in denen über Apples Schriftenwahl gestritten wird und heute haben wir einen Professor der HGB Leipzig interviewt. Das Thema ist wirklich interessant und vielschichtig. Gerade deshalb oder trotz dessen bin ich begeistert, obwohl es schwer ist, unser Thema einzugrenzen. Außerdem gibt es kaum Antworten, sondern lediglich Fragen und Probleme, welche besprochen werden. Lest ihr jemals Bücher auf dem iPad oder anderen ebook-Readern? Warum oder warum nicht? Was denkt ihr über Apples Schriftwahl für iPad, iPhone etc.? Ich würde mich über einige Antworten wirklich unheimlich freuen! Auch neue Inforessourcen oder Blogadressen gegenüber bin ich sehr aufgeschlossen ;-)
Nun aber zunächst die vielfältigen Typoeindrücke, die wir in Kopenhagen festgehalten haben!
