Today I only want to share a quick thought with you. Have you ever tried jogging at night? With studying and a schedule which starts at 6 in the morning in order to get to school at 7:30 I often have no time to go jogging in the morning or at noon. Especially in wintertime I enjoy running in the evening. Now with christmas not far away I especially love those minutes! I really like to look at the illuminated windows, to enjoy the christmas lights decorating the houses. For me, christmas lights are the most most most most cozy thing in the world. I have always been a bit of a christmas junkie. When I was younger I would start in October with crafting gifts and my family would call me a nerd ;-). What is your favourite thing about christmas time?
For me it is the special feeling. Even if the city is crowded with people and everyone bemoans our materialistic world: I really like to give gifts and as many of us I don't mind receiving something. However the most treasured moments are the those ones: sitting in yourhome, lighting all your candles and lights, enjoying an incense cone and listening to christmas music. I can totally work in that atmosphere and that's why I'll share my workplace with you today ;-). Most important: my grandfather made the little white christmas tree as an advent calendar many years ago. We cherish it.

Heute gibt es vor allem einen Gedanken von mir zum Durchlesen und Mit-sich-selbst-Ausdiskutieren :-). Und zwar: seid ihr auch schon einmal in den Abendstunden joggen gegangen? Mit einem Stundenplan, der mich häufig um 6 Uhr früh aus dem Bett haut, damit ich 7:30 in der hochschule bin, kann ich Joggen am Morgen meistens vergessen. Besonders in der Winterzeit mag ich es allerdings, im Dunklen zu rennen (ich weiß, dass jetzt sämtliche Tanten und Mütter einen Herzanfall bekommen – das funktioniert gut mit vorher und nachher anrufen, damit die Familie weiß, wo man ist ;-)). Nun in der Weihnachtszeit mag ich diese Zeit am Tag besonders! An den illuminierten Fenstern entlangzulaufen und ein wenig in das Leben anderer Leute hineinzulunschen finde ich immer wieder ungeheuer interessant. Für mich sind Weihnachtslichter sowieso die aller-aller-aller-allergemütlichste Sache der Welt. Ich bin schon immer ein großes Bisschen vernarrt in Weihnachten gewesen. Als kleines Mädchen hab ich meist schon im Oktober angefangen, Weihnachtsgeschenke zu basteln und meine Familie hat nur nachsichtig den Kopf geschüttelt ;-). Was ist euch an der Weihnachtszeit das Liebste? Für mich liegt es an dem ganzen speziellen Gefühl. Selbst wenn die ganze Stadt voller Menschen ist und jeder die materialistische Zeit beklagt: ich mag es, Geschenke zu machen und lehne es auch nicht rundweg ab, welche zu bekommen ;-).
Jedoch: mein perfekter Weihnachtsmoment sieht wie folgt aus: frühe Advents- oder Weihnachtszeit, man sitzt im warmen Zuhause, hat all seine Weihnachtslichter und Kerzen angezündet, ein Räuchermännchen qualmt vor sich hin und in iTunes läuft eine Anzahl moderner/klassischer/Piano/gesungener/was-auch-immer Weihnachtsmusik. In dieser Atmosphäre kann ich immer am besten arbeiten und deshalb hier auch ein Bild von meinem Arbeitsplatz in der Weihnachtszeit. Wichtig: mein Opa hat den kleinen Weihnachtsbaum vor vielen Jahren mal als Adventskalender gebaut, der wird hoch in Ehren gehalten.
Habt einen schönen Adventsabend bzw. -nacht. Ich hoffe, ihr habt eure Schuhe blankgeputzt, damit der Nikolaus sie morgen früh ordentlch füllt!
