Resurfaced

Hello everyone,

another crazy time of layouting and putting together sisterMAG 2 lays behind me and today I finally found a minute to sit down and write another post for Neu4bauer! What a relief that it is now ALL done and we've even finished the iPad app, the browser version will be once more updated in the next days and Toni and I are all ready to attend "The Hive – European Blogger Conference" this weekend in Berlin. What an interesting and exciting time, loads of people I/we get to meet through this magazine and we are constantly searching for inspiration, insights and interview partners.



For the most of the time my absence of "style posts" is due to my latest way of living. Spending weeks in your flat, working from 9am - 2 am doesn't spark interesting outfit ideas. HOWEVER for this second issue I actually tried to dress accordingly to my design scheme. My very first step (in mid April) was to abandon all dark colors and dresses to the storage area. My colour-coordinated clothes rack got a spring renewal.

Because of the theme of the new issue ("Blossoming new beginnings") I decided to go with pastel blossom colours: light blue and green, a lot of yellow and apricot. It started with the cover, where we made a whole dress embellished with pastel paper roses (I'll compose a post about the creation of this dress over at sisterMAG blog soon). And it just followed through all the section pages, the table of content right to the last page. Luckily my mom loved these colours as well, which is why I found myself left with a pale lilac pleated skirt. On a lonely Sunday I therefore decided that my workday needed a little elegance. Hence my outfit ;).

Einmal wieder ist eine verrückte Zeit des Layouters und Zusammenstellens eines sisterMAGs zu Ende gegangen und heute erst finde ich eine Minute, um auch an dieser Stelle zu schreiben. Was für eine Erleichterung: alles ist (mal wieder) fertig: ein neues Update der deutschen Ausgabe geht in den nächsten Tagen live, die iPad-Ausgabe ist gelauncht und die Vorbereitungen für "The Hive – European Blogger Conference" am Wochenende sind auch (fast) fertig. Eine wirklich interessante und spannende Zeit beginnt jetzt: Leute treffen und kennenlernen für und durch das Magazin – immer auf der Suche nach Inspirationen, Neuigkeiten und Interviews.



Die fehlenden "Style-Posts" erklären sich natürlich auch durch meinen Lebensstil. Tage, die ich zu Hause von 9Uhr morgens bis 2 Uhr nachts am Computer verbringe, rufen nicht unbedingt inspirierende Outfits hervor. Nichtsdestotrotz war ich diesmal sehr viel "modischer" als im letzten Layout-Marathon. Der erste Schritt war die Verbannung aller dunkler Winterkleidung und -kleider in den Kelle. Meine farbsortierte Kleiderstange war damit für den Frühling gewappnet.
Da die neue Ausgabe unter dem Thema "Blühende Neuanfänge" stand, entschied ich mich auch im Layout für ein pastellene Blütenfarben: hellblau und grün, viel Gelb und Apricot. Das fing schon beim Cover an, denn wir bauten mal wieder ein Kleid, diesmal einen Organzarock voll selbstgebastelter Papierrosen. Dieses Farbkonzept zog sich dann also durch die gesamte Ausgabe bis hin zur letzten Seite. Zum Glück ist und war meine Mutter von diesen Farben ebenso begeistert wie ich, weshalb sich ein lilafarbener Plisséerock auf meiner Kleiderstange einfand. An einem einsamen Sonntag entschied ich also, dass mein Arbeitstag ein wenig Eleganz bräuchte. Ich präsentiere: das Lila-blaue Pausenoutfit für harte Layouttage.



Ich hoffe, ihr seid nicht böse über die lange Ruhezeit. Mich findet ihr natürlich immer noch an anderen Orten: das sisterMAG Ausgabe 2 ist live (und wir werden auf dem sisterMAG blog auch neue Posts vorbereiten) und IKEA Family Live (heute ist ein neuer Blogpost live gegangen über einen pastellfarbene DIY-Kommodenschrank meiner Eltern).
