In the theatre – the big transformation

Don't you love the buzz before leaving for the theatre? Even when I am not involved (which means I didn't go to the opera) I love the minutes before when my father paces around our house, checking the time, making sure that we are so over-punctual that we usually spend an hour walking around the block ;). Then my mom who knows this procedure and pulls it off to get dressed in about 20 minutes, ending up looking like this:

In our house there is the rule: as soon as you are dressed, my dad will shoo us out of the door. Hence, in order to reduce waiting times, we've all perfected a 'just before time' dressing routine.
Yesterday my parents went off to the opera (Rigoletto) and I had to snap some pictures of this divine black dress paired with a mink jacket and ridiculously high black pumps (from Sanctum Berlin). I especially love the many pearl necklaces my mom wore. They look so sophisticated and classy, but I will tell you the secret: we once found them in the rummage table of our local supermarket 'Kaufland' *hehe*.

Mögt ihr nicht auch die Begeisterung kurz bevor man ins Theater/Konzert etc. geht? Selbst wenn ich gar nicht involviert bin (d.h. ich ging gar nicht in die Oper) liebe ich die Minuten davor, wenn mein Vater durchs Haus streicht, ständig auf die Uhr schaut und damit sichergeht, dass wir stets so überpünktlich da sind, dass wir eine Stunde um den Block laufen müssen ;). Dann meine Mutter, die diese Prozedur kennt und es deshalb schafft sich in nur 20 Minuten fertigzumachen und am Ende so auszusehen:



In unserem Haus gibt es eine unausgesprochene Regel: sobald du fertig angezogen bist, wird unser Vater uns aus dem Haus scheuchen. Um also Wartezeiten zu verringen, haben wir alle das 'gerade so kurz bevor der Angst'-Fertigmachen perfektioniert.
Gestern besuchten meine Eltern also die Oper Rigoletto und ich musste einfach ein paar Bilder von diesem wunderbaren schwarzen Kleid, gepaart mit einer Nerzjacke und unheimlich hohen schwarzen Pumps (aus dem Laden Sanctum in Berlin), machen. Am liebsten habe ich jedoch die Perlenketten – bestimmt 10 an der Zahl – welche das ganze Outfit so 'sophisticated' und elegant aussehen lassen. Jetzt kommt jedoch unser kleines Geheimnis: die Ketten haben wir mal im Wühltischsektor unseres Supermarktes 'Kaufland' gefunden *hehe*.
