The last days I then ruminated about this whole appointment: do I really want to cut them short short again, don't I want to let them grow, just trim the endings … Today in the morning I quickly decided not to chicken out again and took Central Line to New Oxford Street in the most cliché English drizzling rain :-). I quickly found myself in a crowded foyer of the salon, having to sign a few "regulations" such as: could be 2-3 hours before finished, you should have eaten enough before, no mobile phones in the salon, please ask the teacher if you have a problem and NOT freak out the student ;-). Then you told the teachers what you picture for your hair and got paired up with one of 18 students of Beginners Class.
To cut a long story short: I am really thrilled with the result and the experience. My hairdresser was awesome, incredibly nice, also interested in fashion. Perhaps I can even be a part of her final presentation or at least watch it!

Well, my hair: in some way all of them were thrilled about my "hair structure" *hehe*. Now I have a really nice round shape, awfully short in the back.
I always wanted to have it like that because it reminds me of the style of Chanel-Resort-2010-hairstyle.
It was incredibly interesting to watch the process of the cutting, because every step was explained and watched by the teacher (really interesting and great guy from New Zealand).
To conclude: if you want to have a really nice and interesting morning (you should book off half a day) and a great haircut for 5£? Tony&Guy Academy
Ich alter Pessimist und Schwarzmaler! In den letzten Tagen in London hab ich mal wieder mit meinen Haaren gehadert und nachdem meine Mutter über SKYPE auch noch meinte: "Vielleicht solltest echt mal zum Frisör gehen" war klar – ich seh einfach bescheuert aus ;-). In einem Moment des Mutes rief ich deshalb bei der Tony&Guy Academy auf der New Oxford Street in London an und machte einen Termin aus.
Die letzten Tage waren dann geprägt von einem Hoch und Runter der Gefühle: wieder ganz kurze Haare, lang wachsen lassen, nur die Spitzen trimmen … Heute morgen entschied ich also, dass ich mich nicht schon wieder drücke und bin im schönsten englischen Nieselregen mit der Central Line zu Tottenham Court Road und fand mich in einem überfüllten Vorraum des Salons wieder. Man musste zunächst eine Einverständniserklärung unterschreiben, dass das Schneiden schon 2-3 Stunden dauern kann, dass es sich um Studenten handelt, man vorher genug gegessen haben sollte, keine Handys im Salon erlaubt sind und man sich lieber an den Lehrer wendet bei Problemen und nicht die Studenten verrückt machen soll. Man erzählt dann den "Lehrern", was man sich für die Haare vorstellt und wird dann einem der 18 Studenten in der Beginners-Class zugeordnet. Um gleich vorwegzunehmen: ich fand es unheimlich toll, meine "Studentin" war klasse, unheimlich nett und auch an Vintage-Fashion interessiert. Vielleicht darf ich sogar zur Abschlusspräsentation im Mai hinkommen!
Meine Haare also: irgendwie waren alle ganz begeistert von meiner Haarstruktur (*haha*) und ich hab jetzt einen schönen runden Schnitt, im Nacken ganz kurz bis zum Haaransatz geschnitten.
Genauso wollte ich es zum Glück auch, da mir schon immer der Style der Chanel-Resort2010-Schauen mit dem maritim-angehauchten Strand-Look und lockigen, runden Haarschnitt.
Es war wirklich interessant den Prozess zu sehen, weil natürlich jeder Schritt mit dem Lehrer (sehr interessanter Hairstylist aus Neuseeland) besprochen wurde.
Also: falls ihr mal für 5£ einen richtig lustigen und netten Vormittag (man sollte wirklich den halben Tag einplanen) verbringen wollt? Tony&Guy Academy!!!
