Brussels | March 2014

After a short but very eventful time in London for sisterMAG, I boarded the plane on Friday evening and went to Brussels. I had never been to the town which stands like no place else for the European Union. I had little knowledge of the sights and things to see, thus read up on different travel blogs, the Lonely Planet, luckily enough Sarah (from MoodFood) gave me some tipps where to go and eat and finally there were a few friends who live in Brussels and who showed me around.

Maison Dandoy – just one of many awesome sweets manufacturers in Brussels. Love the packaging!

I spent an enormous amount of time walking up and down the city – the camera always at hand. Despite a few meetings I had time to explore and learn. One learning: Brussels is definitely the wrong town to go to during lent :). I am fasting sweets right now. In Brussels waffles, chocolate houses and humongous mountains of Meringue greeted me at every corner. However I am sitting in the plane without a big bag of Dandoy spekulatius but a selection of 122 photos.

Enjoy! You will also find pictures on Steller (find the app here), where I created a little story of my Brussels trip (thanks to Will from BrightBazaar for pointing out this new app, my name is @ThNeu) and on Pinterest.

Yours, Thea

P.S. Spoiler alert: the yellow coat is part of #sisterMAG12 where you'll be able to download the pattern for this coat which got a lot of compliments by the way ;)

Lovely details.
