8th December - an abundance of pictures from my "inspiration tour" through Stuttgart - just for you!

"Als kleines Mädchen hatte Rebecca ihre Mutter, die wenig später gestorben war, einmal gefragt, was die Leute meinten, wenn sie erklärten, sie würden an Weihnachten glauben. Nachdenklich erwiderte die Mutter, Weihnachten sei eine magische Zeit. Und diese Magie wirke nur, wenn man ganz fest daran glaube.
'Und was geschieht dann?' wollte Rebecca wissen.
Die Mutter hatte lächelnd geantwortet: "Wer an Weihnachten glaubt, begegnet seinen Mitmenschen heiter, freundlich und großzügig. Und er gewinnt, wenigstens während der Weihnachtszeit, den Eindruck, die Welt wäre in Ordnung."

Am Wochenende nahm ich nun diesen Rat zu Herzen und stürzte mich in den Feiertagstrubel auf Stuttgarts (manchmal viel zu engen) Straßen. Ich hoffe, es sind einige Inspirationen für Euch dabei - ob als Weihnachtsgeschenk oder für den eigenen Bedarf!

'And what happens after believing in Christmas' Rebecca wanted to know.
The mother smiled and answered: 'Who believes in christmas, meets his fellow men in a cheeful, friendly and generous way. And he receives the impression - at least at Christmas time - the world is in best order."

Well - thinking about this quote out of one of my favourite Christmas books, I went to Stuttgart's inner city which was totally crowded and full of people - often without the good sense of Christmas, running for presents without a meaning and without thinking about the recipient. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the time looking around and buying some presents (the only commercial ones I want to give this year). I hope, you'll find some inspirations for presents or for yourself!
