10th December

Adventskalender

There is still enough time (it never is, but you could squish it into a spare evening or so) to make a very individual gift for a friend/aunt/sister/relative you want to surprise with her very own monogramm on a ... <- please replace with any suitable item such as handkerchief, bag, scarve, book cover ... A few months ago, I found some very neat embroidery patterns from the 19th century and I was rapturous: I pictured beautifully dressed ladys in London stitching along in their afternoons in the salon, having rapturously-in-love-gentlemen and lords visiting them ;-) Having said this, I exposed myself as lover of cheesy 19th-century stories ;-) But - at least - I am not the only one. But back to the subject. I've chosen one of my favourite collections to share with you (click here to download the PDF)! If you happen to use one of the letters, please let me know or send a picture. I'd love to see your creations!

Still 14 days left! Theresa

"E" vor Eva for my mom - she wants to make a white blouse with this embroidery on the front pocket

Schlafanzug
My own pyjama we made this summer: I did the embroidery and my mom sewed it out of an old linen sheet!

Eure Resi/Thea

I neven thought using my own name initial embroydery, as I am not that gifted in embroidery. But the letter E of your mom's future shirt is beautiful. Pillowcases with names embroidered are a nice gigt idea too.

Hi Theresa, I love the embroidery pictures you showed. And thanks for sharing that download as well. I want to try embroidering my initials on something... maybe a pillow? Thanks for the ideas :o)
